Digging in the Dirt
I’m
digging in the
dirt
I’m
digging in the
dirt
I got a
shovel and
a rake and a little dirt hoe
I’m
gonna turn the
earth, and watch things grow
I’m
digging in the
dirt
I’m
digging in the
dirt
I’m
gonna plant
some cabbage and some tomoatos
Leafy
greens and
peppers all in a row
Then
the rains come
And the
roots grow
deep
And the
sun shines
And my
plants come
to be…
Beautiful
I’m
digging in the
dirt
I’m
digging in the
dirt
I got
some carrots,
rubbarb and some mint for tea
I give
them lots of
tender care down on my knees
I’m
digging in the
dirt
I’m
digging in the
dirt
With my
fingers in
the soil there’s so much to feel
Rolly
pollies,
earthworms don’t make me squeal.
Then
the rains come
And the
roots grow
deep
And the
sun shines
And my
plants come
to be…
Beautiful
